Contribute to the Global Constitution Project

The Global Constitution Project invites individuals from around the world to share their perspectives on what a 21st-century Global Constitution should look like. As part of the Open Science Justice Lab, this initiative provides a space for diverse voices to engage with questions of justice, governance, and sustainability. By submitting an essay, you join a global conversation on how governance should evolve to meet today’s challenges. Whether you propose key principles, discuss institutional structures, or draft a constitution yourself, your ideas help shape a novel and hopeful vision for the future.

How to submit your essay

We welcome contributions from anyone aged 10 and older, regardless of background or expertise. Your essay can address any aspect of a global constitution, such as:

Principles and rights that should be included.

Your own version of a Global Constitution.

Governance structures for global cooperation.

Challenges and opportunities in global constitutionalism.

Essays should be approximately 1000 words and may be written in any language. Formal citations are not required, though references are welcome. Please upload your essay as a Word document (.doc or .docx) in the submission form below.

Note: Once your essay is submitted, you will receive a confirmation email. If selected for publication, you will also receive a certificate recognizing you as a contributing author.
